Curriculum vitae Since 1989, Philipp Boë has been active on the stage, as an artist, actor and director, always looking for new ways to radically renew traditional forms of show production. Artistic development and training: " Fool Time-Centre for Circus Skills and Physical Theatre" in Bristol (GB), " Laban Centre for Movement and Dance" (London), " Ecole Philippe Gaulier" (London) and " Centre National des Arts du Cirque" (Châlons-sur-Marne (France)). In 1993, he was co-founder of Peepolykus with whom he devised two physical theatre plays that were widely acclaimed by international critics. Then from 1996 on, he has been attracted by possibilities in France: a tour with " Cirque Nu" the production of "Close-up" with the Compagnie Goudard and several productions with the " Cirque du Tambour". He has travelled to Egypt twice with "öff öff productions" in which dancers and acrobats defied the desert winds in "Dreams of a Lila Cow". In Switzerland, he keeps taking part in several very different projects, varying from theatre (for example "Henry V" with the Theatre de la Grenouille) to artistic performances, mises en scène or the video production "bielbienne01-02.ch" in which he participated both as co-author and comedian. As a director, he was responsible for "Tank da" for the street theatre troupe "Platztheater" in Zurich, "Backstage" for the magic-theatre group Anam Cara (Christoph Borer and Michel Gammenthaler), the IRCAM production "Schlag!", a project for a multimedia musical circus show with le Site Cra in Paris, for PuuPääT and for Zirkus Chnopf. In 2008 he was directing Damioscha by Monique Schnyder and the open-air show Don Quijote-the making of dreams by OFFSZoEN. 2005 Philipp Boë wins the central european stage award for innovation (www.mefibo.ch) |
